Ten Thousand Buddhas World Peace Sarira Stupa
4303 River Rd., Niagara Falls (905) 371-2678

This is a huge Buddhist stupa and temple located near the lower bridge just across River Road from the White Water Walk. A stupa is a house for sacred relics and this one not only holds remains but also features a huge statue of Buddha, a library, Buddhist artifacts and paintings. The Stupa is open spring, summer and fall on weekends. The temple beside it is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features 10,000 small gold Buddhas and the altar of the Enlightened Being of Great Compassion. A service is held here daily at 4:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. The stupa is ramped and the temple is flat. There is a gift shop, accessible washrooms and the monks present ask that no pictures be taken in the stupa or temple. The entire site is quiet and beautiful and admission is free.
