CAMPING/RV CAMPS
CAMPING
If you are a lover of the outdoors and looking for an economical vacation,
Niagara offers some of the best camping facilities anywhere. We have yet
to validate these sites personally for accessibility so we are reporting
what we have been told by telephone.
BISSELL'S HIDEAWAY
205 Metler Rd.
Ridgeville ON
Tel: Fonthill (905) 892-5706

This campground is set deep within the shorthills of the Niagara Escarpment
and is just 15 minutes from Niagara Falls, Welland and St. Catharines.
It
is equipped with all amenities for all types of campers including full
serviced sites with 30 amp service, water outlet and sewer connection
for
large trailers, while tenters can choose either a serviced site or pick
a
spot in the 40-acre tenting area.
The office area and the washrooms there are accessible but the showers
have
a fairly large lip and would not be considered accessible. The general
store
and the restaurant each have a very small lip, but we're told that they
would both probably be able to accommodate a wheelchair or scooter. The
one-acre crystal clear pool is fully accessible with lots of activities
for
people of all ages.

to
be installed. There is no laundromat and no sewer hookup for trailers.
The food concession is accessible, however. The sandy beach stretches
