Friday, Saturday & Sunday 12 - 4 p.m. May - Dec. 24 open 7 days a week 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. If groups or buses are pre registered the hours are extended for them. Major intersection: Fifty Road and #8 Highway. There are 6 parking spots right in front of the cafe, and another 6-8 close to the building. The main parking area is in the large lot at the front of the property and at the busiest times of the year a greeter will direct handicap sign holders to special areas, or drop off areas close to the building. Men's and ladies' accessible washrooms are located inside the wine shop. Puddicombe Estates Farms is a smaller winery, which provides tours but only if they are reserved tours with a minimum of 10 guests in your party. On their special occasion weekends, which is usually once a month, scheduled tours are held approximately three times a day. The only problem with tours being accessible is visitors must go to the back of the building in order to access the winery and this is done over a gravel base driveway. If the person is on a scooter they have no trouble. From the winery door it is paved and, yes, it is accessible as far as entrance and no stairs. There is an accessible gift shop and an accessible café is located in the front of the building. A spokesperson says the winery provides many tours for seniors in nursing homes and "we just rearrange the furniture in the café for them to fit in." The cafe is open starting May 1st. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. seven days a week. "Usually our customers come into the general store and place their orders and then we take the food to them. However, if a customer cannot do this then we simply have staff take the order for them. Again if you had a group coming in we do extended hours and for [groups of] 25 minimum we have dinner packages available." The restaurant and the wine shop are beside each other, so the accessible washroom serves both areas. "If the person can be moved from the wheelchair easily they can enjoy a ride aboard our train Little Pud. We also have a petting farm and playground area, however they too have gravel laneways to get to them." |
